A group attribution error in which we tend to associate with “our” kind and dissociate with others. A group attribution error is an attribution bias.

In attribution bias people try to find reasons for their own and others’ behaviors. Group attribution error happens when people tend to believe that the characteristics of an individual group member are reflective of the group as a whole.
